Your butler does not polish your cars. That would properly be done by one of your drivers, or if your staff is sufficiently large your mechanic. If you have only one domestic he is not your butler but your valet, he may polish your car. Whilst some butlers do do double duty as a gentleman's gentleman in more modest households, provided you have more than one member of staff it will not be him polishing you car, if he is your only domestic he is just a valet.

I do know some people who have their gardeners polish their cars.

Aren't HRH's shoes going on multiple decades or something? Perhaps it is just a matter of 20 or 30 more years to develop the proper patina for his CH? Though one supposes he could, in fact have a Bespoke pair made.

Perry Ercolino told me he was making him a pair. That was a while back though.

One doesn't believe you are acquainted with the present staff and how they are organized or function. But thank you just the same for your insight and the rather abrupt limits of your cordialilty.

As a point in fact, one does not require the services of a body servant, hence no valet on staff. Maybe when and if senility makes sudden advances, that will change. One prefers to drive oneself as a pastime, hence no dedicated driver. Some tasks have been more economically contracted out, such as the services of a mechanic. If one depended on the reliability of Morgans, Healeys, Jags, and other fine British marques for transportation, then maybe retaining a household mechanic would be economically efficient. But the XKE and Mark IV are adapted for pleasure and not daily transport requirements, hence no mechanic.

One greatly appreciates your invitation and advice, but there appears to be no use for either at this time. If you could assist one in obtaining the Bugatti mentioned above, one might feel differently.
