I will be a summer intern in Chicago and the work attire is business casual. So far I have a couple solid color BR non-iron slim fit dress shirts and a black non-iron cotton dress pants. In addition, I bought a bunch of items from BB such as...

With all this in mind, what are some shoes that would be considered "business casual" and under $200. I saw a few used Edmond Allen PA and 5th Ave brown/burgundy shoes for a good deal. Would they be okay?

In my opinion, the Park Avenues would be too formal.

Ahh I apologize for my poor forum etiquette! I'll make sure to keep my questions grouped together as to avoid cluttering the forum. But since I've already created this thread, I'll keep my shoe related questions here.

Anyways, I now agree that AE's PA and FA may be too formal. But what about monkstrap shoes under $200?
So far I found this monk strap shoe. Will it match with the three pants colors above as well as with black pants and dark straight jeans?

Looking at the pictures you posted in the fitting advice, I would say that you could probably pull off a brown shoe with a bit of brogue.

I would probably stick with a balmoral and not a blucher for the sake of slight formality differences (the formality of a balmoral is generally greater than the formality of a blucher).

I would probably stay away from wingtips. They're a bit flashier and more casual than a captoe. However, depending on the environment, some might consider them formal enough.

Whatever you choose, a good pair of dress shoes will clash with the casual belt you have in the pictures.

Have you mentioned the region where you happen to have accepted this internship?

My internship will be in Chicago. I have more pants/shirt selections which I bought online a few hours ago on the first post of this thread.

When you say that I can possibly pull off wearing a brown shoe, are we referring to a darker brown or a lighter camel/tan brown?

I saw those shirts.

Actually, by brown shoes, I meant the standard brown color that will be referred to as such by classic shoemakers like Allen Edmonds and Alden. It's a dark brown. The lighter version is far more casual, and it would probably be called tan, walnut, or something along those lines. The reason I said you could probably pull of a brown dress shoe was a way of saying that you don't seem to need black shoes (which is the standard color in which you see people buying the PA).

Don't buy used. With presumably a lack of firsthand brand experience and the importance of making a good impression in a new job.
