What Shirt w/Light Grey Suit?

So I have a light grey suit that I can't figure out what type of shirt/tie to wear with it. I know you can typically wear anything with light grey, but this suit has a bit of a pattern in it. I'm not sure what to call it, but the closest I've been able to find picture-wise is:

It's a little more grey as opposed to the tan in this picture and has some light blue in the pattern. Obviously a solid light blue shirt and solid tie is guaranteed to work, but would a patterned shirt fit or be too busy? Could something like these work or too much with the patterned suit?

No worries. Don't over think it. Try these:
Blue/ white Tattersal
Blue/ white vertical stripes (in various gauges)

The first gingham you posted also looks good.

That suit looks really really great! I'd rock it with a purple gingham shirt, not sure about tie yet. If you decided to go with the light blue shirt, pair it with purple tie like Mr. Bentley here

Yea I'm nervously excited about wearing it. I've never worn it before. I'm usually pretty classic, traditional and reserved. I have a casual rehearsal dinner in the summer, and it seemed like the perfect time to bust it out. I'll think about the purple tie. I know purple is the newest greatest thing to hit the fashion world it seems but idk if I can get with that movement haha.

Have you considered wearing the suit with a pink shirt and navy tie? I'm gonna try that combo at my cousin's wedding this month.
