I'm a heavy guy and I get my shirts tailored here in India. Most salesman in fabric stores here do not know the answer to my question and proceed to show the most expensive fabric they have. They also do not know the types of shirt fabric they have except for the mix such as cotton, polyester et cetera.

If I know the type, I will look for it myself. Also those of you who are impeccably dressed with clean pressed garments do you use light starch? Jackets and suits are not at all worn here in most business situations here in India. A clean well pressed full sleeve shirt, pants, and clean shoes is what works here.

Thanks

I had good experience with cotton twill fabrics...do not wrinkle a lot and are easy to iron.

Hi!

Whenever I go on cruises, I pack clothing made with Lyocell or Tencel, because it's very versatile, You can wash it in the bathroom sink if something spills on it and it dries quickly and wrinkle-free!

LYOCEL OR TENCEL

An artificial fibre obtained from crushed and dissolved cellulose. The US Federal Trade Commission defines Lyocel as "a cellulose fabric. It classifies the fibre as a sub-category of rayon. It shares many properties with other cellulosic fibers such as cotton, linen and rayon.

Characteristics of Lyocel Fabric: Soft, absorbent, lustrous, very strong when wet or dry, resistant to wrinkles, and lyocel fabric can be machine- or hand-washed or dry-cleaned.

+1. I find cotton twill wrinkles less than other weaves like poplin.
