Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

This shirt is a cavalry twill weave--it will have some sheen. Caustic is recommending a heavy oxford weave, which will have no sheen. I agree with his recommendation of a heavy oxford in sky blue with that suit and a burgundy tie. I also agree that a tie with more texture would be preferable.

For your son's 18th party, you do not want to look like a stuffy, regular dad. I assume you are 40ish; but even now 60 is the new 40.

I'd go with a patterned, shirt, burgundy glen plaid perhaps, airless tie, meaning button the top button, no tie. Tan or brown suede monkstraps.

Something like this but in a color that complements your suit; maybe burgundy or tan. Btw I do like the knit tie idea if you must wear one. You also need a great PS.
