What shirt and shoes go well with Grey/Black tweed sports coat and jeans?

I recently purchased a grey/black tweed sports coat and would like advice on what style/color shirts and shoes would go well with it when worn with a nice pair of jeans.

Instead of attempting to hand out advice regarding specific items, I'd suggest browsing through the thousands of pictures in the "What are you wearing right now" thread. You can see what might work for you, and what might not. It was an excellent starting point for myself. Dress is more of a learning process -- the teach a man to fish analogy. Also, the book "The Suit: A Machiavellian Approach to Men's Style" by Nicholas Antongiavanni (Manton's Nom de Guerre -- a great SF contributor) is an excellent means to learn the basic rules of dress. You're of course welcome to ignore the rules as many do, but at least you'll have the foundation to act within knowledge instead of trail and error. And when the occasion becomes serious, for example job interviews, weddings, etc., you'll know exactly how to be correct. Best wishes, and congratulations on your purchase.
