Bought four years ago for approximately 1250,- I am seeking to get these rebuilt and have them refurbished completely.

My first pair of santoni's and hugely sentimental about them.

Would someone perhaps have more information on the model name or number or where to find a second pair or who would be able to rebuild the toecap fully and completely to the highest standards and materials possible.

I have a quote from John Lobb where they have been once before for a refurb but I'm now getting worried that that a full toe cap rebuild is going to be a rather expensive event.

Your advice is most welcome.

Best
Wishes,

D.

This is what they looked like when I bought them. I could make a new picture of the shoes in current state which has a rather beautifully blended lobb applied patch on the outersides of the shoes. Unfortunately the toecap is now at starting to show a hole at the edge of the patch and opposite shoe at inside/outside above sole at seam on cap, rather torn. **the shame wears off when loving a pair of shoes this much**

Luckily this is all on the toecap and could be resolved by a full rebuild of the toecap?

Some idiot shoemaker in holland has also clamped the very tips of the toes of the shoes toes while resoling the first time round, they have never returned to normal. probably by anger and sheer perplexity I couldn't communicate at the time. The damage was done and I simply turned white, considered crying for a moment, instead I paid, turned and left the shop feeling nauseous by the laissez-faire ring and attitude of the Dutch Dufus shoemaker that reverberated through my now crystallised and shattered state of mind / mood.

The patina has deepened however and darkened over time, the now even after years snug and supporting fit has become a gold standard to my feet, they reshape my feet back to normality after the occasional trashbagging about town in a pair of trainers. Trainers make my feet hurt yet I seem to succumb occasionally.

These boots I have searched for a long time and various brands have not been able to get near, combining comfort, quality, individual style and durability.

I'll try and post a picture later today.
