What polish colour for tan shoes?

I have a pair of tan brogues, similar to the Paul Smith Starr. Up until now I've been using neutral for them, and it's been fine, but I feel that once in a while they would benefit from a bit of recolouring. Saphir Medaille D'Or has a colour named Polish Yellow. Does anyone have experience with that? Or any other alternatives?

I use Lincoln brand.

You can get anal about shoe polish, but I don't think it matters that much. For evidence, there is an old thread about an Edward Green trunk show. What polish do the EG reps bring to show off their $1400 shoes? Kiwi.

Beechnut is the Saphir color I use for tan.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
