I was browsing through Urban Outfitters new items section and came across some cheap ass Paper Denim and Cloth jeans. I think that I'm gonna order them with my pay check from two weeks ago. The only problem is that I have no clue what model they are.

From what Urban Outfitters says, they are a medium rise at the waist, a slim fit through the waist and hips, and slim straight legs. I think that they are LTDs or SLMs. What do you guys think?

Smart money says that those are the SLM model. AFAIK, only the GTO, LTD, and the SLM were ever offered in the 3-year wash, and the description matches neither of the former, although from the pic, I would have said that they were the GTO.

I think the most interesting part of this thread is that we are finally seeing evidence of PDC bringing down their prices, to match the already poor quality. I'd yet to see any of these "new" jeans, and this is a first for me.

Nordstrom Rack at Metro Pointe has had an entire rack of PDCs at $69 for over a month, and hardly any of them have been sold at all. They'll probably go on clearance soon. A few years back they would have been gone in hours.

I've seen these and even Earnest Sewns sit untouched on Filene's Basement racks until they were 50, even 75% off (so, under $35). To be fair, I've been seeing the same thing with SBU and selvedge Edwins too, but those are much less well known brands (although a distressed straightleg black pair of SBUs has me rethinking whether I actually hate black jeans or not. Maybe I will like them at $25.)

actually, the only pdc ive had, the icn model, was made in the 3 year wash. one of the nicest distressed jeans ive seen to be honest. didnt look at all like the wash on the uo site tho. a thift store find over a year ago, id assume they were from the early runs of pdc... japanese denim, nice wash, and good fit once i tamed the bootcut.

By the way, those aren't cheap, if they're the GTO, they're on sale for much less everywhere as we've been discussing.

LAG,

I've mostly seen crappy wash/styles of the ES on sale for big discounts, like Hemmingway tubular. No Selvedge Fultons or nice Hutches here on discount.

PDC quality has declined over the years, I'd probably pass.
