Light blue jeans are not flattering and are just a trend. Darker Blue might work with this outfit. Black Jeans would not look nice with this look. Mr. Schuester on the show "Glee," played by the handsome Matthew Morrison

(Yes I know it is a different sport coat. In general a sport coat, with a dress shirt, tie, and jeans.) This is what your combination choices might by styled as if you have the right fit regarding your clothes. Sport Coat. Burgundy tie. Cream shirt. And dark wash Jeans. I think if you pull it off it will look wonderful! It doesn't always have to be slacks depending on where you are going. It is nice to give pieces versatility.

Without moving to a eclectic style... conservative style with a light blue sport coat which i wear myself is, dark blue jeans/pants or black jeans/pants, unless you're a hipster, trend setter, or from Europe where blues and brown/burgundy/red are used with fashionable taste.

You asked if any of your jeans would work with the sport coat in your picture. I said a darker wash would work. And the tie was merely a suggestion after seeing your picture.

Dark jeans would work. Also consider khakis.

I agree with the dark blue option. Cotton twills in the various khaki and lighter shades will work as well.
