What pant with these shoes

Long time lurker...first time poster.

I picked these shoes up earlier today on clearance.

I know that Geox isn't exactly a favourite around here, but the price was right, and every pair of Geox I've ever owned fit me beautifully, and these are no exception.

Now...my dilemma. What pants do I pair with these shoes. I'm still developing my own sense of style, and I'm clueless what to wear these with.

Anything but black. Avoid those shoes in extremely formal (e.g. interviews, funerals, weddings, for a high-end job where you wear suits) situations and go for a nice oxford instead.

I don't plan on wearing these with my suits (my job has me in a suit at least a few times a week), but apart from that, where do you think the limits are with these.

Perhaps it's the cheap faux buckle, but something looks off when I try these with dress pants.

Would you pair these with more casual cotton flat front pants? Khakis? Denim?

"Geox" had the reader expecting worse. The sporty soles probably are the main reason for the reluctance with dress pants. The shoes would go well with fitted jeans. With chinos and such, sure, though probably not also a sportcoat.

Wear with office pants. They need a bigger logo for proper office wear, though.

I would wear those with a nice navy pair, olive, or cream colored pants. Then just pair it right with a shirt a tie that compliments the pant color and shoes.
