I saw/heard this wonderful woman some years back at the Blue Note in nYc.

I got there for the earlier set....stood by the bar ordering Heineken at first and then sat on the window ledge next to some chick(also there solo) to get a better view. We loved the show.

In between sets(last of the night), I had more brews and someone from the club came to me and said that I really needed to leave as I already saw the show. However, he(and the bartender) realized that I was drinking well and tipping even better and told me to enjoy! No extra cover.

I sat up on the ledge and ordered more brews for her late set! Solo chick bounced. I didn’t ask for the #.

I saw this man in Central Park for a Summerstage concert appr 15 years ago.

I took a vintage Pentax SLR camera with me that I just acquired. Me and my boy were having a great time until the skies opened up and it started to pour! Yep, my camera was damaged as I tried to shield it under my t-shirt.

It was a passing downpour and BL’s band started playing Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head! Then crowd was loving it. The skies turned blue after 15 min and he absolutely killed the rest of the show.

I saw this amazing talent at SOB’s in NYC right after she dropped her EP, which I had. I actually don’t remember much about the show other than they were handing out copies of her EP/CD outside while we waited on line.

I mailed that copy to my dear friend in N. Carolina and she loved it.

Years later, I went to Thailand for a vacation and my same friend was living vicariously through my exploits. I got back home and called her and she didn’t pick up. It was late so I understood.

I called the next day, text’d and every emailed. No response. I got nervous and Googled her name.....who knows...maybe a car accident.

Someone had started a fundraising site for her. She passed away while I was on vacation. Cancer(I knew she had it).

Just as I saw that post, her friend called me(she had her phone) and told me.

Music is wonderful!

If anyone is wondering why I am bombarding this thread today...it’s because I am going through something serious right now(not a relationship or death issue.)

I am finding that listening to music and putting some memories to songs/artists is helping me cope.
