1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Not really into Sun Kil Moon.

Beethoven's No. 9 yesterday at a concert. Impressive. Also, Gengahr, Caribou and Bonobo. Fantastic stuff too.

I never heard this when it came out, but picked it up at the thrift store for a couple of bucks yesterday. Amazing stuff.

Saw The Million Dollar Quartet at Wolf Trap last night. I give it 7/10 with a good closing. I just love live music.

    Cheers

One of the best mashups ever. The dual-mono-output is off-putting though, downloaded and mixed down to mono it's much better.

^ don't like that mash.. really seems to rob the original of the power that made it cool… although I was jamming this on KCRW the other day

I was (and still am) a big Smiths fan. I liked "Viva Hate" and the "Bona Drag" compilation, but not too much else in his solo career. Morrissey & Johnny Marr needed each other. Marr did some cool stuff with The The, but nothing approaching the Smiths.

I still like his lyrics they have this literary flaunt and I like that, his somewhat ironic approaches...some of his new songs remind me so much of the smiths (I 100% agree with you on that, together they were better) like "I am hated for loving" reminds me so much of Unlovable (probably my favorite song by them) and that's just one example...[IMG]
