What music are you listening to lately?

    I've spent most of my evening listening to vintage Cheap Trick on You Tube. It is hard to beat "I want you to want me" and "Surrender".
    I waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant yyyyyyyooooooouuuuuuuu to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaant me...I neeeeeeeeed you to neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed me... Nothing quite like music entirely composed of choruses and bridges with dated and formulaic guitar riffs. The worst of that era of pop in my mind. Even stuff like BTO, though a shadow of their former great selves, at least was more original. (I saw Cheap Trick in concert two years ago -- they were awful and cultivated my distaste for them.)

    Yeah, they even played the theme to That 70's Show. After that forced clichÃ[​IMG], I understood why they called themselves Cheap Trick.

    Wow, Mascis was the man for a while. I don't think I purchased anything after Hand it over. Good band though.
