Haven't listened to much new music lately, but the new Grizzly Bear and Isis are really good. Mastodon's newest wasn't bad either, but a bit of a letdown after Blood Mountain.

Also, bought the HS live recording 'Positive Rage' and the track Spectres, which comes as a bonus on it, is awesome. Almost worth the purchase by itself. I desperately need to see them live.

Have you listened to Department of Eagles - In Ear Park? It is Daniel Rossen's (of Grizzly Bear) other project (before Grizz and still continuing). It's pretty damn good. I find myself listening to it more than Veckatimest.

Hadn't heard of them, checked them out on Spotify. Sounds pretty damn good indeed, will have to listen more but definitely liking what I'm hearing. Good stuff.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Just got done with this:

This one was another failure in a long list of hipster failures I've been listening to lately. Also polished off:
Loaded.jpg
This one was a disappointment. This was my second foray into VU and it just didn't come anywhere near the excellence of VU + Nico. No real memorable songs either. C-

I just didn't get the same feeling from Loaded as I did from VU + Nico. I'll give it another shot. Maybe it'll grow on me the second time around.
