Do you know the Sublime Frequencies label? Lots of excellent 3rd world pop from 60s-present.

No, I don't. Thanks for the recommendation, I'm definitely going to check this out now. [IMG]

Better than Ezra - Paper Empire.

Right now the start of the album is mneh-zzz, but the stretch of songs from Hey Love to Wounded is damn good, and I am particularly stuck on Black Light, a pop-ish tune about getting stoned in the 70's-80's.

Marcio Local's album (the Brazilian version, not the Luaka Bop release).

Not particularly "great" but good fun to listen to.

[IMG] I still have yet to find a Who cd that is stellar throughout. Clearly the best song here is reign on me but the rest were just meh. Overall I give it a B.

"My Generation" is the best rock and roll album of all time.

    Please. This is embarrassing.

That's a greatest hit's compilation. Doesn't count. Still an excellent collection of songs though.

Have you seen Bettye LaVette's cover of "Reign?"

You hipster. I do like some Starf***er now and then, and I can't fault you for liking. DofE. Not sure If I remember hearing the others.

Listening to a lot of Steel Pulse in the past few days, especially A Tribute to the Martyrs and Caught You. Also downloaded Country Gazette's album A Traitor in our Midst. Not bad.
