I started the new Dr Strange last night.
I might go back, but I stopped when the giant one eye'd tentacle monster showed up.

I thought the Holland Spiderman trilogy was pretty good tbh. I may not be as far along on the "tired of the MCU" spectrum as some of you, though. And I actually thought Dr.S 2 was better than Dr. S 1. The characters were better filled out and the villain was more memorable and sympathetic. In fact, I don't even remember who the villain was in the first one.

Of course that's kind of the problem with MCU movies- they suffer from a lot of generic sameness.

I also liked Dr. Strange 2 over the original (as well as bringing in the Illuminati, X-Men, etc)

One reason I stopped is they mentioned something about Spider Man, and I haven't seen No Way Home.
I guess this is something I should watch before Dr Strange Deux.
I looked and it's still a rental.
No way in hell I'm paying for it when I subscribe to every streamer known to man...

Spiderman (and X-Men) getting screwed by the weird split ownership rights

Casino Royale- obviously one of the best DC Bond movies. Nothing much else to say.

Huh?

Not that I am advocating for Dr Strange 2 (I thought it was highly meh), but if you are interested in watching it, it’s free on Disney +

As much as I’d like to see a competent handling of the X-Men, I sort of don’t mind this at all. The X-Men world — in which heroes are ‘mutants’, outside and suspect — doesn’t really jive with the rest of the superhero cannon, where the grotesque and monstrous are pretty much celebrated as long as they’re thwarting baddies.
