He was great in GotG as Groot.Really excellent movie.
And despite my love for (nearly) the entire Fast & Furious catalog, The Iron Giant is probably Vin Diesel's best performance.

True, and as Ed points out, he brought an unexpected depth to the role, but overall, I though he showed greater range and nuance in IG.He was great in GotG as Groot.
They did a great job of keeping his complexion the same, for a touch of realism...True, and as Ed points out, he brought an unexpected depth to the role, but overall, I though he showed greater range and nuance in IG.

honestly he brought a lot more emotion to that role than he should have.
What can I say about Casablanca on the big screen? I wish the volume was a little louder but thats not the films fault. Such a love story. Iconic lines that weren't contrived. Beautiful images in every scene. Incredibly moving. Maybe a perfect movie.
And the pictures of the Fox don't do it justice. It's a true palace and no matter how many times I go it's an absolute treat. Is it a bit of an orientalist fantasy? Sure but it was supposed to be for the Shriners so whatever. I think what I appreciate so much about it is we almost lost it to fire but there was thankfully a super who was living there and detected in time. And then a second time it was almost torn down for redevelopment.
There's truly nothing like it anywhere else. I've been to some great movie palaces but the Fox is just so evocative that it blows them away.
I think you're gonna be happy to see this...Garfield is my favorite of the Spidermen, I thought he was the best part of No Way Home tbh.
Same here. End Game was the Marvel high point for me and anything after has been ehh... It's just too much now. Most of the time I only catch the movies when I travel and watch them on United.lol, not really, though that is good for him, glad to see him get that paychek. I've lost my enthusiasm for the Marvel stuff - I only begrudgingly watched the newest spiderman with family on streaming - and have no interest in seeing them anymore. I have zero interest in Dr Strange or the new Thor movie.
Good call (assuming you mean the new one - the first one, while not great, at least managed to work as a relatively contained stand alone film - this one doesn't at all. Apart from the few Raimi flourishes that somehow slipped through, it's just a waste of time. Silver lining is that it'll effectively wean you off Marvel flicks, if you weren't already).I have zero interest in Dr Strange
