What Movies Are You Watching Lately

I'm about half way through Dune and I really want to love it. Hans Zimmer score and "the voice" are fantastic with the sonos subwoofer cranked up. I do find the stunning Rebecca Ferguson (who is what, 10 years older than Chalamet?) to be quite good so far. Actually the performances all seem decent.

@ter1413 Jennifer Connolly . I still think about her in that Frank Whaley movie from the late 80's.

Just watched Dune and liked it. Yeah it was slow at first but well done.

I also saw the new bladerunner twice in theaters (regular and then on the big big boy screen)... Maybe y'all haters just have short attention spans

Just finished it and I liked it as well. Visually stunning, fantastic sound effects and score. Not perfect but very entertaining. The end left me wanting so that's a good sign.

Saw Dune in IMAX tonight……it was awesome. Very much a “Part One” and ultimately a bit anti-climactic, but strong performance, excellent music, and just overwhelming visuals. Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac were really good, and Stellan Skarsgard extraordinarily creepy and gross.

I also just finished Dune.
Very enjoyable, with beautiful work by the DP.
I'm not getting the whole Zendaya thing though. She looks like a wombat.
Rooney Mara would have been a great choice.

Yeah, yeah, cherry pick the glamour picks. Miley Cyrus has a rocking bod too, but she looks like a horse.
With Zendaya, and I'm not saying she's ugly, she's just very overhyped. It looks like her head was soft clay, and someone put one hand under her chin, and one on top of her head, and squeezed.

I enjoyed QoS. At first it was difficult because there was so much story going on and one almost has to watch Casino Royale first to follow what is going on. We get some backstory (Vesper was actually a spy or in too deep) and Mathis was good. We also see a very dark side of Bond (not sure if this has showed before). He dumps the body of the very associate who was helping him avenge Vespers death. He gets drunk on the plane while looking at/thinking about Vesper. He is reckless in killing people left and right (this theme is repeated in Skyfall). At the end, everything gets put back together and Bond doesn’t kill Vespers old boyfriend.
Its still #3 for me of the Craig movies but thats just because Casino and Skyfall are better. Oh, I guess I havent seen NTtD yet but from what I hear it won’t crack my top 3.
