You're missing a masterpiece. Jk I turned it off within the first 20 minutes because it sucked so bad.
OK, this is just a bad hot take…
The Lynch one kicks ass! You could probably enjoy it just from a costume or score/sound perspective. It ‘s also imminently quotable.
I rewatched that and read the book for the first time; came away impressed by how many cool parts of the film were strictly Lynch.
Sort of like Blade Runner 2049. I could never get past the 30 min mark before falling asleep. You're missing a masterpiece. Jk I turned it off within the first 20 minutes because it sucked so bad.

Jesus, Sean Young was fine. Totally would, even as Finkle from Ace Ventura.

OK hot shot, how about this. 1986 Legend soundtrack...Jerry Goldsmith versus Tangerine Dream version.
Costner plays a hero Navy officer who gets recruited to work at the Pentagon for the Secretary of Defense(Hackman). He bumps into old friends and meets a willowy woman(Sean Young) at a party.
Little does he know that SY is the mistress of his new boss. Little do they both really care. They decide to keep THEIR affair on the down low.
After Young's character is found dead in her apartment, Costner is tasked with finding the culprit....who Hackman's flunky weaves a narrative that the killer is a KGB double agent.
A undeveloped Polaroid is found in the apartment and one of KC's old chums(IT guy) is tasked with finding out who is in the picture.
KC rushes to find the killer...while also trying to slow down the investigation. Why?
This has 2 of the best(KC & GH) leading the way with some very good role players thrown in. A solid thriller worth a watch with a few nice twists!
4/5.
