On the paranoia front it's incredible to think we had The Parallax View, The Conversation, Three Days of the Condor, The Day of the Jackal, Executive Action all made within about three years.
The Conversation is on Prime in Oz

Wikipedia describes this one as a “neo-noir thriller” but I found it to be remarkably slow and meandering. Not thrilling at all lol. That said, it was still very good. Gould is always a pleasure to see on screen, but this was really not at all what I thought it would be.

Very on topic: Criterion is releasing a neo-noir collection on the channel in July; I am very excited:

I haven’t seen a lot of these but in particular: I’ve been trying to find Across 110th Street for a while now, I’ve never seen Manhunter, and I will absolutely watch Thief again.

They are also releasing a bunch of Wong Kar Wai films, which is cool. I’ve seen most of them but I’ve never seen Days of Being Wild, which has been difficult to find on any streaming service. Also, if anyone knows how to track down the Chinese cut of the Grandmaster, please help a brother out.

Started this last night.

After part of a very remote diamond mine collapses, the good guys need to get rescue equipment out to the location.

Problem? It's cold as F and the only route is by truck(s) over a frozen ocean. The team and their leader definitely need a particular set of driving skills to pull this off!

Liam N is that leader and along with a few other misfits, they attempt the challenge.

I fell asleep so no review...not even a partial. I didn't fall asleep due to the movie, just had a long wknd.

Will check it out later.

Was this good? I think I abandoned it several times throughout my youth…

I dug it. It didn't have the humor that other Full Moon Prod. flicks had, it was just straight horror though.

Also, the Italian prostitute was HOT.
