Now this is a first.
Where are you located, in AUS?
Maybe it is not so usual, because Kaplan (DEN?) sometimes recommends films on Netflix there, I look that same day on NF USA and...nothing.

But if you saw "First Man" on NF, that's a good sign as I assume it would eventually be on NF USA as well (unless there are some global market issues/contracts that never allow some films to be released on NF USA, that I don't know).

We got First Man on Netflix here in DK 3 days ago. I missed the reminder I had set for it, but I might watch it this weekend.

Caught this on Netflix last night:

A group of wannabe survivalists decide to spend a few days at the remote camp of the grand puba of survivalists that they follow on Youtube. They are blindfolded when they arrive on the outskirts of the compound so that the grand puba will always have his seclusion when **** goes down. Cell phones are confiscated.

They all arrive, settle in and get the rules of the camp spelled out to them. Then the training starts. Growing and catching food sources/shooting/building/etc.

Everything is going ok...until a major accident happens. What do they do? How do they get out of there?

People take sides. More accidents happen. Chaos ensues.

This was ok. The struggle to survive is played out, somewhat, during that last half of the movie.

2.75/5.

Just watched this via Netflix Australia:

Enjoyable, if not particularly realistic (then again, who knows?! Maybe this is how the CIA operates!).

Certainly gory in its depictions of the violence perpetrated by Mexican drug cartels.

My kids love Back to the Future and wanted to watch this as a result. Terrible movie.

Roku has a streaming channel called Movieland TV that looks like one of those janky free channels that has a million commercials but actually has a ton of good movies commercial free. Watched Jeremiah Johnson again last night.

If they're kids, try Teen Wolf or old episodes of Family Ties.

Can endorse Teen Wolf - I saw it in grade 5 or 6 and enjoyed it. Kids nowadays might have different tastes, though!

What was the movie where Michael J Fox's character crashed his Porsche 356 in the middle of nowhere? Doc Hollywood or something? That was a bit more romantic but still enjoyable, too.

Julie Warner coming out of the lake is definitely a high point.

I watched this movie a couple of times as a kid, and have been in love with Jen from that moment.
