Big Game starring Sammy Jackson as President of the U.S. This movie is spectacularly terrible. The trailer also gives away the entire plot of the movie. Fantastic stuff. Highly recommended if you enjoy Sci Fi original type movies (although this is not Sci Fi).

That looks as though it is so ludicrously bad that it's good.

So I saw Ex Machina. I liked the idea, the atmosphere, and the buildup, but where it all led was horribly contrived and nonsensical. Then I find out it's from the same guy who made "Sunshine" and "28 Days Later." Surprise, surprise!

The true test of whether it's sentient is if it will try to manipulate you into helping it escape. ("Huh?"). That's why I picked you -- a professional actor who's in on this from the beginning -- for the job. If anything goes wrong, remember you can turn the robot off with an app on your smartphone. Good luck.

I liked the movie overall, but the ending was horrible (yet at the same time to be expected). It doesn't even make a lot of sense from the machine's POV, imo.

I did like the one scene where the guy (apparently) wonders whether he might be a robot, too. He's seen too many movies!

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem As a B movie it's not bad as it harkens back to those 1950 alien invasion flicks where the local town is placed under siege from alien (communist) hordes bent on world domination and the local towns people led by the town outsider are on thin edge of the wedge as they seek to repel the alien invaders and it's got the obligatory teenage ***** aspect provided by Kristen Hager. 1.5/5 Or is it the Bundaberg rum clouding my judgement?

I'm sure the rum helped, but I'd even stretch that to a 2/5 (but then, for my own use, I try to avoid turning my 1-5 scale into an actual 1-10 scale by using ½ points).

As I recall, one of its biggest problems was that it was overly dark in many scenes, to the point where it was actual hard to tell what was going on. And it made the same mistake as Alien 3, Alien: Resurrection and I guess Prometheus, of having the Aliens adapt characteristics from the host creatures they incubated in, taking away from the purity and brilliance of the original Alien design. So yes, not a Good Movie but still better than the last Hobbit film, for instance.
