watched the american last night. was pretty good overall, nice bewbs was a plus. buuut

i see no reason why he had to get shot in the end. stupid hollywood theory since he is an assasain even though he is the protag. he must be punished. its bullshit, no reason he shouldnt have been fine and gotten out of the game and away safe with the hot italian hooker.

I watched the american last week. Good movie overall. Hard to find a bad george clooney movie these days without looking too deep in the past.
Last one I rented was "Blue valentine". Quite sweet, thought provoking and with great acting from both williams and gosling.

Somebody watched "Tropa de Elite" (Elite squad)? Just curious. I'm not a big fan.

Saw that the other night. It was pretty good, a bit TOO gritty and unpolished. Still fairly well done for a low budget Brazilian movie. The sequel was much better in my opinion and could stand on its own, but I recommend watching them in order if possible. The second movie actually reminded me a bit of The Wire.

Expect to be disgusted. I have a pretty high tolerance for gore, violence, and general weirdness but this is one of the films that I absolutely will not watch again. It's pornographic and senseless in its depravity.

watched 12 angry men and the kings speech over the past few days. both very enjoyable.
hard to imagine a 90+ minute move these days with only 12 actors and one room. my how things have have changed.

Always thought 12 Angry men was over-rated. Acting wasn't even that good. And i do like some slower movies, 2001 is one of my favorite movies.

I'm not that big of a fan of Pasolini to begin with. The way he approached this was pretty awkward, although all the perverted **** was rife he didn't show anything explicit. Whenever someone was ******* he either had them in the background or they were covered up by some kind of prop. when the Duke pooped on the floor there was a cut. I'm not saying I wanted more but if you're going to do this text there's no point going half way. This also makes me confused as to why it was banned in so many countries, Caligula was more explicit than this.
