    I love it.

How about a nice week-end in watching "Taxi driver" followed by "Carlito's way" and "Goodfellas"?

You can also throw in "Casino"..

To me, Casino is SO overrated.

Throw in Dog Day Afternoon, The Taking of Pelham 123(of course the original), Wall Street, Do the Right Thing and The Warriors.
(Some push into the early 80's.)

That's a great thing to do. I think the fact that they shot in winter adds a lot to the look. That muted light.

    Nice one. Some powerful scenes.

Good stuff… some scenes are better than others but enjoyable overall. The last scene evoked the strangest most conflicted emotional state I've ever felt watching a film. I suppose whether the content strikes depends on the viewer of course, but some will understand.

Interstellar x4. This time on the tiny 27 inch screen in the room I grew up in. I may have to make my parents watch it with me tomorrow on the 50 inch before we decommission that this weekend. (Parents moving houses and have no need for 50 inch lcd tv )

Watched this yesterday and I loved it. Had low expectations going in but it was great. It drops the ball a bit near the end but I was able to look past that.

I watched Interstellar as well, not bad.
Also Elle a passe tant d'heures sous les sunlights by Phillip Garrel. I enjoy his nostalgia over may 68 and his predilection for intellectual and artist characters. Although his last films are awful. I also recommend Le vent de la nuit.

Nope, I did watch Un Ete Brulant and was pretty disapointing. Will take a look at that one. I also like Les amants regulieres, very nostalgic...very "nouvelle vague"[IMG]
