WTF I have not left the cinema in a more foul mood since the adaption of Atonement by Ian McEwan What a fucking psychopathic bitch. Should have called it Wrong Girl. Excellent acting and a real Hitchcock style thriller but fuck off talk about psychotic bitches she takes the cake makes Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct look like a girl guide

Annabelle, pretty great. Then again I liked Insidious, Conjuring, etc etc. I just love all those types of supernatural horror flicks coming out by this director or whoever. And yes, I know Annabelle was actually Raggedy Ann.

I didn't click your spoiler as the movie doesn't open here until the 23rd, so (however spoiler free your comment may have been) I applaud you for spoilering it, as I hope to see this knowing as little as possible. Thank you.

World's Greatest Dad. Was pretty good. I've known so many kids with that same attitude and personality, my older brother being one of them. But I can't think of another movie with someone like that.

Rewatching The Ring after reading the book. Pretty different in a lot of ways (like every movie adaptation I guess)

Watched Match Point recently. I haven't seen many of Woody Allen's other films (so far Hannah and Her Sisters, Manhattan, Blue Jasmine, Midnight in Paris) but I've liked them all.

Trader Horn, 1931. Claims to be the first non-documentary shot in Africa. At least two died making the film. Very interesting Wiki page.

Found a lot of good recs in this thread lately...

Did I say I watched The Purge sequel? That was much better than expected; not a home invasion movie, but rather a -- what do you call it -- the kind of hero must find his way home story, like Ulysses, or The Warriors -- anyway, a slick actioner, and pretty solid.
