The book is good too (I haven't seen the movie).
I've read and enjoyed a couple of the Reacher books. When I see the previews for that movie I can't get past the fact that Reacher is supposed to be, what - 6'5" or so?
Yea i havent seen the movie but I remember how upset people were on imdb when cruise was selected.
i quite liked the reacher movie. (big surprise i know)
Spoiler: what i liked most
that they did not do that namby pamby action movie BS where the good guy almost loses and them resurrects. he kicked ass start to finish like the bad ass dude he was made out to be
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Bad guy or good guy?
ooops. edited. was just a typo.
Just watched it, performances were good, but the it was just a string of scenes with guys telling each other what cunts they, or others, are. Meh. You are right though Lemon was excellent.
watched flawless with demo moore and michael cane. what a great movie, i love cane and i have always loved heist movies.
would love some recs for more great cane movies and more great heist movies.
I watched Funeral Kings the other day and I was in stitches
The Man Who Would Be King (1975), one of the best adventure movies, with Sean Connery and Caine's wife Shakira. Listen to how Caine met her, amazing story! (from 2 min)
Get Carter 1971
The Ipcress File 1965
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 1988
Gambit 1966, heist movie
The Quiet American 2002
And almost everything else he has made. I think Peter Sellers said that if he could live his life again - he would do everything exactly the same, except he wouldn't watch The Magus, so maybe not that one
Watched the company we keep last night...good flick dont know if it would be worth seeing in theaters but then again I didnt see it that way so I cant comment. I will however go see oblivion this weekend.
saw the man who would be king. loved it. thanks for the other recs, ill have a look. cider house rules any good?
I found Cider House Rules about as satisfying a movie as Wuthering Heights was to read.
