the Pegg-Frost team hasn't let me down yet. Have you ever seen their series Spaced? good shit.
+1. They do a great job of not establishing any expectations going into a movie. Kind of a "it is what it is, like it or not makes no difference" type attitude. Makes for a great movie experience, as you are never disappointed.
I just realized that your avatar is the cover for the new Modestep album. Rock on.
They did not disappoint.
That's what I hear. They'll be here next Tuesday and I'm upset that I have a commitment that evening.
I have, and I agree they haven't let me down yet. I just remember seeing the trailer and it was terrible.
THAT movie looks like shit.
Watched The Loved Ones, pretty great Australian horror movie.
Being There. One of the funniest movies I've seen in some time.
I always think of it as the anti-Forrest Gump
I like that. It's a brilliant movie, and a fantastic book.
We watched Argo last night. I enjoyed it, but it was hardly Best Picture quality. Unlike Titanic for example
I felt like the tension in the final sequence was quite forced and unlikely.
I'm not sure if these have been posted: the Jack Kirby storyboards for the real movie Lord of Light, from the novel by Roger Zelazny, that became the fake movie Argo:
Watching the first Hulk movie. Most of it is terrible but Nick Nolte is fucking awesome.
the Eric Bana one? That one is hilariously terrible. Ang Lee makes some good movies but who in the fuck thought he should make a Hulk movie.
The Ed Norton Hulk is just as terrible, but for completely different reasons.
wondered about that for a while, glad to hear it didnt suck. i may watch it. thanks HB.
an older movie, but in case you haven't seen it how about "out of the blue" with hopper and linda manz?
korine's upcoming "spring breakers" looks like it might be ok, too.
I enjoyed it a lot.
