What I take issue with is the idea that the Michael Keaton Batman is a better movie than 21 Jump Street, not whether or not the original Batman was a bad TV show.

KAPOW!

It was good. Borderline great. They used some nifty camera work to avoid some of the super gory stuff - I would have preferred they didn't, but can understand why they did it. Seeing a guy hit in the side of the head full swing with the prong end of a hammer isn't everyone's cup of tea. If you are a fan of the Ong Bak series, this will be right up your alley. 8/10.

Except for chick in the back, I'd hit all of 'em.

well, i finally finished watching, nixon. took 4 sessions, but well worth it. i though the cast was amazing, tons of super solid performances. really interesting story too, definitely draws you in, and on the intense side.

imo president nixon was portrayed very differently here than he was in frost nixon. i think he came off much worse in nixon, and i have no idea which one, if either, is accurate.

thanks for the rec, man of lint.

My pleasure Stichy. Glad you prevailed and enjoyed. Nixon gets better with each viewing.
I'm watching JFK Director's Cut now (again). I'm sure you've seen it but if you haven't, please give it a twirl. Both are Oliver Stone masterpieces.

I just looked at the movies playing at the local cineplex. I really don't want to see any of them, just looks like a bunch of shit.

In that case, see the Director's Cut when you can. It will run 3.5 hours...yeah, another long one, but believe me, the time really flies with this film.

I was just reading up on Harmony Korine and I ran into this on the Wiki article for his movie Mister Lonely.

It's kind of amazing that he got to make another film after that.

Just finished the Dollars Trilogy. I thought A Fistful of Dollars was the best. Maybe it was because I saw that first...
