Gandolfini was only really great as Tony Soprano imo. He's been ok at best in everything else I've seen.

He was good in In the Loop. I had forgotten about that one. Haven't seen the other two.

It's a pretty good movie - great cast. I grabbed a copy when I was living on the equator and missing snow so I watched it often.

The writer, Scott Rosenberg, created a series called October Road that was more or less that same thing. Only ran for two seasons.

watched 21 jump street last night... actually just wanted to leave it playing while I surf the net and lull myself to sleep.. turned out far funnier than I expected... jonah hill and channing tatum as a team works well together and ice cube is fucking hilarious.

Finally got around to seeing Eastern Promises tonight. I thought it was quite good, but not as good as all the hype. Maybe I just had it built up too much. Nevertheless, I'll keep it.

I really liked Eastern Promises and was excited to see it after A History of Violence and David Cronenberg's start of none bodyhorror films and more mainstream themes. Viggo rocked as did Vincent Cassel.

I was less impressed with A Dangerous Method, though it was interesting and had a great wardrobe.

Have any of you seen Cosmopolis? I really want to see it.

Last night I watched Attack the Block - absolutely awesome film, hilarious and original. "No one is going to call you Mayhem if you keep acting like such a pussy! "

I love EP, I didn't like A History of Violence at all. I thought it was incredibly predicable and so many people recommended it to me.

I hated A Dangerous Method for a lot of reasons.

I think one of his best films was eXistenz (sp?)

I don't know if it is true, but somebody said Tom Ford did wardrobe for Eastern.
