meh idk im a huge hbo whore and newsroom is probably my favorite show maybe tied with boardwalk.
No worries. I'm actually glad you did prove me wrong as it prevented me from believing something that was untrue. I value that over my personal ego any day of the week.
EDIT: It was a surprisingly good film. I remember feeling slightly awkward over telling people they had to go see "The Facebook movie."
Get the Gringo is good
I think Sorkin is generally great on the big screen but awful on tv. The Social Network and Moneyball were both very enjoyable and well done.
Talking about surprisingly good films, I re-watched American Reunion last night. That had no right to be as enjoyable as it was. Might be the best of the series and stands on its own.
Whats your take on newsroom if yove seen it?
It's occasionally very good but it also annoys the ever loving shit out of me. I feel like the show is constantly talking down to me.
In fairness, the writer of that article comes off as a real idiot.
choices to be made for tonight...1-2 episodes of true blood/start rewatching boardwalk to get ready for season 3 or rewatch shame which i watched like 2 weeks ago...any input?
edit nvm pi came on and i havent seen it since i wrote a report on aronofsky like 7 years ago in high school
I really like Sorkin. The American President, West Wing, and A Few Good Men all have great screenplays.
"I'm gonna get the guns".
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Just watched Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. I didn't think it was nearly as bad as most think. I wanna be able to whistle like Eli Wallach. My only two complaints:
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
The soundtrack sucks, and Shia and Carrey make a terrible and completely unbelievable couple.
The wife and I took in Despicable Me. I remember watching the previews and thinking that I wouldn't like it. I was right. What surprised me is that my wife, usually a fan of almost anything animated, didn't like it either. I realize I'm probably in the minority on that one, but to each his own.
I thought Despicable Me was great, but I have an 11 year old so I see a lot of kids movies.
i saw parts of it this week too, and it was quite funny.
it was great. have seen it with the kids multiple times, and it hold water each time imo.
also watched pineapple express again, that movie is hilarious. danny mcbride is amazing.
Correction the first half of pineapple express is hilarious...i would watch this movie when i came back from intense nights of drinking in college and only ever make it half way through anyways.....it is for this reason i have seen the first hour of PAE and wedding crashers a good 100 times again i am not exaggerating with these numbers.
Y U NO FINISH MOVIE?
