1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

I want to see Channing Tatum's Magic Mike coz from what I've seen in trailers, it sort of like an inspirational movie about fulfilling dreams.

No, since this is the only notable scene in the movie. One of the best chases ever filmed, though. And who knew you the short cut to Pacific Heights from Telegraph Hill went by way of Portrero?

    LOL!

I watched Coriolanus yesterday. It wasn't bad. I kind of expected more, but it was decent.

Really, you haven't seen any of these? Double feature them with similar flicks.

    Cincinnati Kid + The Hustler.
The Great Escape + The Dirty Dozen.
The Getaway + The Defiant Ones.

Ted was pretty good. It was the same kind of Family Guy humor that you'd expect, but it was a lot better than I thought it would be.

All are very watchable on their own. The Defiant Ones is not quite perfect for The Getaway, but I was thinking about it today. TDO is better paired with Cool Hand Luke. If you haven't seen that yet do so immediately.

The Great Escape is a bloody great movie. Also consider Bridge on the River Kwai as a perfect companion to TGE. Or maybe Stalag 17.

It's a lot better than most of the comedies that have come out lately. I wouldn't rush out to see it, but it's worth a rental.

One of my favorite moments in Cheers is in the pilot. The bar is discussing what the sweatiest movie ever made was, with good suggestions all around. When Sumner Sloan, the snooty lit professor, returns for Diane, she's horrified and tells him what the men have been talking about. Without missing a beat, Sumner looks up at them and proclaims "Cool Hand Luke," on which they readily agree.

CHL is just about a perfect movie. Failure to communicate; I can eat 50 eggs; shaking it up here, boss; kick a buck; anything so innocent and built like that just gotta be named Lucille.

    Here you go, stitch.

I don't remember the pilot of Cheers, does anyone mention 12 Angry Men as the sweatiest movie?
