    I liked Shame also.

Shorts Cuts was good, but Altman's masterwork was Gosford Park which was the best film of the last decade.

Altman's most underrated movie was Pret A Porter (ready to wear) - wildly underrated actually. That cast is phenomenal and scenes are hilarious.

@stichy/Teacher: Don't expect a twisted plot. It's quite simple at that. The quality is in the detail -- the acting and humor is good and it's just nice to watch. I watched it twice so far, fwiw. It definitely has it's thought-provoking passages, too, but overall it's nothing overly complicated (although the title of the movie may or may not be questioned to be true). Really, Paul Rudd is perfect for this role.

Watched two films tonight: Beasts of the Southern Wild and Moonrise Kingdom

Beasts: Since watching this film I can not recall seeing anything more imaginative and colourful than this.

Moonrise Kingdom: Anderson is boring nuff said.

I just sat through the cringe-fest that was Land of the Dead. What a lame-ass suckfest.

I watched Adaptation again last week. I am NOT a Nicolas Cage fan. At all. That being said this movie is very enjoyable with great acting and a very entertaining and original plot. "Original" to say the least.

Cage's inherent weirdness made him perfect for his role.

    Watched Hugo.

Why the hype? It was kind of shitty. S B Cohen was pretty awful as that cop. The boy was a shit actor. The girl was lame. Editing not so great. Beautiful sets, though.
