Adaptation was amazing. I also really liked The Family Man
His best work:
In the theater waiting for battleship to start
turn off your f**kin' little plastic phone and stop annoying everyone else in the theatre.
Now I know the quality of correspondence you people are typin in such places. And this is likely the more intelligent stuff.
Wrong. I never do anything intelligent-like.
Also, folks I think we have a real cinema masterpiece on our hands with battleship...
Un Prophete (A Prophet)
Goddam fucking awesome, goddam what a great movie.
French prison film. MUST SEE.
That film is pretty tight.
I watched Paris on Netflix the other day. I quite enjoyed it.
Agreed, A Prophet was fantastic.
I just watched We Need to Talk About Kevin. Damn, what a heavy movie. I need to go listen to some happy music now...
To those in Sydney, I strongly recommend checking out the SFF. It’s one of the highlights of my year. I’d say we easily have the most diverse film festival in the world. I can’t wait.
It’s the most Hitchcockian of his films.
She’s much cuter in ‘The Trouble with Harry’.
Even his lesser performances in ‘The Prisoner of Second Avenue’ and ‘Good Neighbor Sam' stack up well against his best (Days of Wine and Roses; Save the Tiger; The Apartment). He’s just a pleasure to watch.
I watched Mrs. Henderson Presents last night. Damn, that was a funny movie. Highly recommended.
Just got done with Man on Wire. The whole setup was neat by going through from planning to execution. They seemed like true characters back in the day. I watched Killer Elite earlier. I didn't find it to be anything special, but it wasn't terrible. I'd have liked to have more Robert De Niro in it.
Just watched Spawn. Man that movie has not held up against time. The special effects and cgi were just flat out awful. Dialogue was so broken. The one liners were laughable at best.
the Apostle. great movie, funny too!
Immediately became a favorite. Great story, great execution of a documentary.
