I decided to watch Alien Covenant today.
Kenny Phucking Powers!! This movie has to rule.

Uh oh, the ship just located the origin of a suspicious signal, if they're smart they will just keep going...

Finally got to see Deadpool and wolverine. It was no longer on the bigger screens, but the theater was empty. Overall a solid movie, but I probably don't need any more of them.

finally rewatched Casino .

I saw this in the theaters in 1995 and was amazed at 1) how beautifully shot it is and 2) what a piece of crap the script is .

I couldn't find it to post but there is an amazing shot where Nicky and ginger are leaving a rendezvous in their own cars but they turn in slow motion and we get a sense of how the camera is rhetorically observing their togetherness . ginger in her Mercedes 450sl and Nicky in his '77 Monte Carlo , beyond cool .

I watched The Equalizer 1, 2, and 3. Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua is a pretty good combo.

Sunday afternoon at the movies…entertaining…didn’t have the Hitchcockian suspense levels of the original..or that “one express elevator to hell” vibe of Aliens but was worth seeing on a big screen. Did do a number of recycled and interesting cultural tropes…recommend.

The wife and I watched Jackpot
1000002548.jpg

Despite my liking both John Cena and Awkwafina, it wasn't good. It was just kinda dull. The jokes weren't especially funny, and for a movie about the entire city of LA trying to kill the lottery winner, the violence was underwhelming.

How much further can be said about the suffering inflicted by the abomination that was Nazi Germany?

However it’s quite an original take on the camp commandant and family. The background soundtrack reinforces the horror, however the obscure metaphysical ending…🤔

Otherwise intriguing, disturbing and an insight into the banality of evil.

I was flipping through the channels and came up on Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Specifically this boat scene.

Alan looks ridiculously huge making Henry look normal sized. Alan really needs to lower his dosages down to normal TRT levels. Whatever his current dosage is can't be good for him at his age.

I sorta remember him saying in an interview right before the second season of Reacher came out that he had trashed his body getting that big. Maybe he'll dial it back some. First season, he was large, but not cartoonishly so. That seemed more sustainable.
