TCM via HBOMax just put up some great movies on demand. We debated between Being There, The Man Who would be King and My Favorite Year. My Favorite Year won out, just a really amusing movie with some great lines and performances. We’ll probably watch the other two soon.

Started watching some Paul Newman movies too: Color of Money (meh), Cool Hand Luke (meh),Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and The Sting were great.
Surely, you can’t be serious. That one of his top movies.

Talking about more Paul Newman flicks. I’d avoid Roy Bean like hellfire, Harper is okay. The Huster is great and so is Cat on a hot tin roof but the latter only if you like drama.

I think I have seen that once. Thought it was/is highly overrated.

The Hustler and The Sting are in my top 10 of all time. Maybe top 5.

There are some forgotten film noir/crime classics that I liked way more like Out the past(I think to date me favourite) or Le Samourai but overall Maltese Falcon is a very good flick. Maybe it's little overrated compared to other movies of the genre but it's very enjoyable movie.

Best Paul Newman movie. Slap Shot. Discuss.
