I very much enjoyed this film. I had never heard of this, had it in my NF queue for months, but never loaded it thinking it was some kind of action movie. I was very pleasantly surprised, as it certainly is not that at all.

It is not quite say "Spotlight" or the ne plus ultra "All The President's Men" etc) but very good. Renner is great, as is the entire cast (some big names drop in for short scenes, like Jeremy Irons did in "Margin Call") and are very effective. The cinematography and pacing is very good. Recommended.

Note: the very end (in the post-titles) is very sad to read.

3.9/5.0.

Hayek has always been "C" level as an actress for me; Eisenberg (so annoying) maybe a "B" at best; Skarsgård Jr also "B" at best, never near his father. They all drop a notch imo for participating in this mindless thing.

What a waste, even of tired tropes and bad clichés.
C level actress but A+ level body and looks.

I caught that several times including when it was first released. Agree...underrated.

Great scene with AG....

Love the "Como.....no Oliver Hardy" line at 1:08:

underwater was cool if you're into sci-fi movies and you can put yourself into the movie. The context of the movie isn't that far off what actually could be reality so it has a somewhat dark creepy side to it. To me it show's why man shouldn't keep meddling around in things and let nature and mother earth be. ( which could explain where the damn covid virus came from)

JoJo Rabbit, is meant to be a serious comedy. It has a nice underlying storyline to it if you follow it from beginning to end. I got a lot of laughs out of it, but it also has this serious side to it that gives it a good story to follow.

I recommend both.

Haven't seen all of Underwater yet but I've seen JoJo. I just couldn't get over how stupid JoJo was that he eventually got his mom killed.

I pretty sure shit like that really happened, kids are so innocent in their conversations and don't realize the implications of what they say.
