You don't know Alejandro Jodorowsky? Much to my chagrin, you can stream his films on Nflix now. I liked it better when I was the only person I knew who had heard of him heh.

edit: You can stream Santa Sengre....definitely his most accessible work. But don't hesitate to check out El Topo and The Holy Mountain....brilliant.

I still cling to the bootleg DVDs I bought that were copied off bootleg Japanese laserdiscs....but apparently Allen Klein patched things up with Jodorowsky, or he died, because he owned the IP and swore he'd never release a Jodorowsky flick so long as he lived.

I always put this back on the shelf - just can't get past Elliot Gould as Marlowe.

"The Long Goodbye" is one of my favorite books. Could never get myself to watch the film, even if it's Altman.

I watched Transsiberian earlier today. It was a good flick, but the ending was a little too contrived for my tastes.

Dr. Zhivago. Such an epic film. I'm saddened that it came on this late as I'll have to rent it to finish it. My heart aches for the rest of the film

^ if you've never watched it, you'll be in for a treat. The score is equally as awesome. PB, teas watching HDnet so im not sure about Netflix.

Great line from the film: "Flesh is not weak, it is strong. But only the sacrament of marriage can contain it."

    Got a chuckle from that

I remember my mother buying it for me when I was in college and I put off watching it for so long because the plot didn't intrigue me all that much. When I finally watched it I was like FUCK ME! The score is amazing. I think Omar Sharif is such a cool looking dude.
