Drive – This is my biggest letdown since In Bruges and The Wire (and Bronson). I didn’t see it as any great character study, just a film trying to entertain… and it failed to entertain me. The song over the pink title credits got me pumped; it’s better than the film. Where’s Albert Brooks’ big turn? What was the point in hiring Christina Hendricks? Cranston and Perlman were strong with limited opportunities.
