I saw this years ago and caught it again last night. Not bad.

Ex CIA OP gets roped in to an assassination...not knowing that the powers that be don't want any loose threads.

Goldeneye - Bond returns in style, quite underrated Bond I think. It still had lightness and dry humour of the the old Bonds, mixed in with new geopolitics of post USSR and good action scenes. Tank scene was amazing, perhaps best special effects of any Bond.

Chinjeolhan geumjassi(Symphaty for Lady Vengenace) - quite disappointing entry after watching Old Boy but still watchable movie.

Le samouraï - Great french crime movie.. very minimalist movie, with barely likable characters but that's what makes it stand out. Basically a film noir shot during day with 40-50s film noir feel but with definitely different take on protagonist. Really enjoyed it.

Re-watched this on Monday because I was trying to remember events from 25 years ago.

Been on a good streak of enjoyable films, which doesn't always happen when watching new films.

Didn't watch it recently, but this review made me laugh.

How did only three people find that helpful? That is a legit criticism.

Now I'm going to have to go and check out the reviews for "The Neverending Story" to see what people have said.

"The title was misleading - it was all over in less than two hours!"

You forgot about the sequel. So closer to four hours...

Best special effects for a space movie ever, and a solid story. There were some things that irked me though. I saw it twice in theaters (2nd time in IMAX).

Honestly it's probably the best real space movie ever. I wish "From the Earth to the Moon" was made like 5 years later. It's such a good series (and almost totally factually accurate - much more than Apollo 13 and more than First Man), but it has a dated feel since it was made right before the new TV renaissance. ("Band of Brothers" is on a totally different level of production value even though it was only made 3 years later.)

This is an Aussie flick that has been done before/since. But it isn't bad.

Cop finds a bag of money and chaos ensues. I caught this on Youtube.

It took me a little time to get to it but at the insistence of a climbing friend I saw Free Solo today. It may be one of the better films I saw in the past year.

I like them fine. But this is about a free solo attempt on El Capitan. Here's the opening:

I am still kicking myself for not seeing this in XD/IMAX.
