Hmm, not sure I have a favourite, hadn't really thought about ranking them. But overall I was very impressed by the ride I was taken on, from getting some serious laughs (in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs segment especially) to the very poignant (Meal Ticket), and with all of them having just a great vibe and awesome cinematography.

Speaking of Meal Ticket, I have a reading of that which, when I tried to google it, I couldn't find any corroboration of, so I might be way off (not that that would lessen my enjoyment of it).

Did you have a particular favourite?
Meal Ticket was so damn sad so it's up there and then the Tom Waits one because of just how challenging it is to have an old man dig a ditch in silence be as entertaining as it was. Ballad was hilarious, too. I thought the last one wasn't...really anything profound? I liked it. But each of the others was either philosophical or just punchy and entertaining. I guess by comparison it is the hard-luck-loser. Also the second to last one needed to be shorter or longer to be better. They were all good, though. And "President Pierce" is such a great name for a little mutt.

On a plane from Houston to London and back. That’s just under 20 hours of flight time.
I managed to catch the following movies:
1.Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Other than the special effects, nothing special.
2. Pacific Rim Uprising. I thought it was entertaining.
3 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Didn’t particularly care for it.
4. Solo: A Star Wars Story. Liked it. Woody’s character should’ve said something about shooting first when Han shot him. Donald Glover was great as a young Lando.
5. Black Panther. Very good movie.
6. Ready Player One. Very good movie with the exception of the main character being an idiot.

Saw Widows, first the trailer is nothing like the movie. The trailer positions the film as a female gangster heist film. No its not. Its a complex story about loss, power, money and betrayal that uses the heist framework to explore and present it all from a strong woman's POV. A group of teenage boys sitting next to Mrs GF and me were definitely unimpressed. Myself I enjoyed it as something different from the usual bill of fare.

My sleep has been out of whack all week so watched this at 3AM. Pretty decent. Really appreciated that it was relatively short.

Er...we like to elaborate more so that others will have an idea if they should check out the movie.
(I already saw it.)
