A navy Jack Spade Greene St.

It's convenient for what I have to do with it. I like the Freitag ones too. I'd like to get a leather one, like the Varvatos one, but I don't have that kind of money as it is, unfortunately.

Khaki waxed canvas bag from J Crew.

I'd prefer something heavier, but it's ridiculously pretty.

ugh, i've had so many and still looking for the perfect one. these are the only ones that come to mind, i've looked at many more and bought a few others i can't think of! if you're shopping i'd suggest you feel the bag in person, it would have saved me a lot of time. as an example i always thought the jack spade bags were nothing special, but they're not bad. i wouldn't pay full price but with bluefly or ebay i think it's quite reasonable. so lesson is to handle the bags in person to really get an idea of what they're like.

current ones
timbuk2 medium classic (from 1996, it's so old it's not as stiff as the new ones, not sure if that's because a change in materials or age)
Dakine Small

Past Ones
Yak Pak Sling (too awkward)
timbuk2 metro (too small)

Just Bought
timbuk2 toeclip (canvas, single panel, smallish day bag)
jack spade leather day bag (i wanted something leather, and i like the varvatos bags but at that price i needed it to be suitable for work too)

(the flap comes all the way down and makes it a more rectangular look, which I like)

I've got one I made. It's really simple; heavy natural canvas with blue piping.

I think I'm going to make a new one with an adjustable strap and some leather accents.
