That's called velvet but the pro's wear velour, exta points for a track suit.

Looks like it is also velvet. Either used for smoking jackets or casual sport coats for the most part.

Its the kind of fabric that is only suitable for "Fashionistas". 99 times out of 100 it looks terrible.

If you are a bohemian poet whose house looks like a library then you might pull it off. (Or for that matter if you're a Shakespearean actor who shoots to fame by playing a time-travelling dandy-eccentric)

Normal people should avoid it at all costs. Consider it the Boss Level of sartorial creativeness.

Aluminum, with a gold anodized coating. Don't wear this jacket unless you are the guy in the photo.
