What low-quality clothing brands do you like anyway?

This probably has been done before, but in 2015? Expecting the usual suspects such as Zara and H&M. Lines (e.g., Stafford from JC Penny) do count. If you can explain why you like despite the quality, that would be nice.

I don't like low quality fashion. I'm very deliberate about what I buy so I want it to last. I wouldn't buy something to wear as more of a disposable piece of clothing.

I just buy Uniqlo jeans these days because they work for my body. If I had the means I'd probably look at some offerings from Dior or Acne but I don't.

Low price or low quality? There's not that strong a correlation between the two.

Uniqlo supima cotton t-shirts are pretty great.

Looking to pick up some Levi's in a light wash because I need them to go with a jacket I bought and I don't feel like dropping another couple hundred on jeans, especially when I need them for something specific. Also I don't really know any brands that make good prewash in a higher price range.

This thread is about buying despite low quality, but feel free to help us out and list some low-priced brands of solid quality. It's not easy to do that (albeit this brand is an exception :satisfied: ).

Also, Levi's isn't low-quality, and its prices have been increasing.

Levi's are generally solid quality. Their Made & Crafted shirts are pretty decent.
Converse, Vans, Dr Martens on the footwear front are whilst not stunning quality, solid enough for the price and 'classic'
Uniqlo Oxford shirts are very decent for the price as are some of their other lines (but quite variable).
Universal Works is pretty decent kit for the price - not super cheap but below a lot of brands.

Universal Works is pricey by almost any standard.

Converse and Vans probably should be classified as "low-quality," and it would be easy to argue that it's never wise to wear low-quality footwear - but footwear isn't technically clothing, so....

To bring up a name that maybe has never been stated on Style Forum: the Macy's brand American Rag. Low quality, but with a look that's more fashionable than typical department store menswear. However, this is not an endorsement.

At full retail their cotton twill jackets start at £135 - hardly pricey. As I said their stuff is not super cheap but below a lot of brands - you won't get even Cabourn's Lybro pieces for less than twice that much.

Going cheaper though - Armor Lux Breton shirts can regularly be found for under £30 which considering the quality and that they're made in France is incredibly cheap.

Cheaper still Uniqlo Oxford shirts are very good value (some of their other stuff is decent quality for the price too).

With most of the high street brands the quality is so low it's only worth looking at as disposable clothing - Topman has got increasingly bad and Zara isn't much better. Oddly I've picked up some okay trousers from H&M, but much of their stuff is atrocious in terms of fabric and construction quality.
