What kind of suit would you suggest I wear to a beach theme wedding?

I'm attending a beach wedding this month. But I don't want to look too relaxed or beach-y. Any suggestions for what to wear?

Ask the groom what he's wearing, then wear something on that level.

I would wear a three piece white cotton and silk suit with a blue contrasting colour shirt, simple green tie, white pocket square, black and White Brogue.

But let the groom know what are you wearing, especially if you are the best man.... he might not reach SF's fashion standards

Assuming the dress will be somewhat informal, light colored linen suit, light blue shirt, contrasting colorful pocket square, no tie. What is the suggested dress code?

Why not? Attended a wedding in the Key's last spring. Groom and his men wore linen suits and ties. I wore this:

That's me on the right in a black (yikes) linen suit and silk aloha shirt.

You do not say where or what the groom will be wearing. You could wear anything from chinos and colourful shirt to a light weight cotton suit. Ties probably not required.

Cream linen is also a great classic..

You can also used a mix silk option..

Ask the groom about the dress code /vibe of that particular ceremony...

A cream linen is so versatile in these particular situations...

Can be classic , elegant or very casual wih an open white shirt..

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
