I mean square ones (large or small?), large stripes or narrow stripes, plaid shirts looks good to wear to office, with denim jeans?

In most offices, large patterns look too casual. Plaid especially. Stripes are more formal than checks (square). Narrow stripes are appropriate in almost all non-interview daytime situations. In an office where wearing jeans isn't a negative, most small or medium patterns should work with denim.
