What kind of lint brush do you use?

I'm curious what kind of lint brushes people use. I've always used one of those "magic brush" one-way types--the ones with a "de-linting" direction and a "re-linting" direction (woe to he who does not check the direction of the brush.). However, I am discovering that these do a lousy job of picking up my dog's hair.

What do other people (particularly dog owners) use? Tape rollers? Bristle brushes? I'm wondering where the different kinds of brushes fit on the scale of efficacy vs. harshness on the cloth.

I have cats. I use tape rollers, and when I'm out: packing tape.

I also use tape rollers. I find of all the different devices I have tried that these work the best for me.

I have a lint brush, similar to the one you described (the brush part rotates so you can switch hands). My wife bought a tape roller that I've been using on my blue suits--that seems to get the fur better.

I use a clothing brush with nylon bristles, which gets dust and dirt out along with some loose lint and hair, and picks up the nap of fabrics. For stubborn hair and fur it's the tape roller. For pills, a clothing shaver, which has revitalized many a sweater.

I think that j covered the bases as well as we could want. God bless Fabienne and her packing tape though. Any woman who has cats is OK with me. Well, nearly any woman.

We have two cats, so tape rollers in both bathrooms and both cars. One of my best friends who has golden retrievers also swears by the tape rollers.

The other benefit is you can buy a big pack of them for like $10 at Costco.
