What is your B&S search technique?

I'm going crazy trying to scroll through all the B&S threads. I see the RSS link on the main page but is there a way to save a RSS feed for specific searches? I can't even figure out how to save a search. Do most people just troll the list every day?

Also is there a way to hide a thread that I'm not interested in? Every time a thread gets bumped I end up clicking on it in excitement only to find out it's the same stuff I didn't want yesterday.

It would be great to have something like the clothing profile on ebay that saves measurements for suits, shoes, etc and let's you search using that. That would require sellers to tag their posts but having the right buyers find the right thread would make it worth it.

Sadly, I typically troll all day if I'm at a computer. Too many holes in my wardrobe that need filling.

1) Have a few beers

2) Navigate to B&S

3) Purchase item on whim

4) Work on way to offload item with minimal financial loss

You can save search preferences.

When you are in the forum you want to search, over in the top right choose:

Search this Forum >> Advanced Search. (There's also an RSS Icon to subscribe to the thread)

In the following window/page, down at the bottom, center, there is a pulldown with "Save Search Preferences".

Alternatively, use the Goggle search function at the top of the forum. There's no way to save the search like a Google new feed but you could just bookmark the search. The trouble with that one is that you cannot Google Search just one forum, you get the whole site.

Yeah, the save search preferences stores things like how far back you want to search but it doesn't actually save the thing you are searching for.

Also, the RSS icon only works for the entire B&S forum, not specific searches. I guess I'm spoiled cause I have searches for all the things I need in my size automatically pulled to my RSS feed on ebay.
