What is with Katie Couric's hair??

I'm watching her interview Sully Sullemburger and I can't stop watching her hair...

I find her look of disbelief when Sully answers the questions humorous. Then again I'm not a big fan of Couric anyway.

I don't dislike her. Not sure why there has been so much Couric bashing (or more accurately backlash) since she moved to primetime news. It's puzzling

I think it is because she's not suited, at least IMO, to credibly cover hard news. She is a perky fluff artist and the attempted re-make into a serious news broadcaster has not gone well.

And forget her hair, wtf is up with her eyes/eyebrows these days?

I don't think they've tarted her up properly. If she wore a tank top and a little more eyeliner I think we'd all be on board re: her journalistic credibility.

People don't like her because she isn't suited to anchor evening news. Shes a talk show host not a newsperson. The fact that she is on 60 minutes is an embarrassment and the fact that she is the "main" interviewer for big stories, like this one, is even worse. It diminishes the legitimacy of 60 Minutes.

In support of others here, I think if she hadn't been on the Today show for so many years doing fluffy interviews with Hollywood people, and had climbed the ranks in network news, we'd all take her more seriously.

In a similar vein, I now make fun of Lester Holt almost every time I see him doing serious news because he hosted some goofy crystal skull show on Discovery (?) last year. Really? Crystal skulls, Lester? He kinda lost some credibility. Katie lost hers years ago.
