Um, I notice you are new to the forum, so welcome.

The sleeves have been rolled for two possible reasons:

    1) to show off the suit / shirt / watch - watchband combo
    2) to show off the shirt sleeves without doing any alterations, yet making it somehow "Ëścooler' (to the person taking the photo, anyhow)

    Jon.

I've never seen anyone actually do this though. Have I not been looking hard enough?

The reason for that is that for the most part no one does that in real life for the most part. Most men wear their sleeves to low anyways, and they would not want to show off their shirt sleeves.

Lauren himself has been sporting turned up cuffs, he also likes to show off his vintage watches, also the RL models usually wear antique time pieces and you can really see them in the ads.

I like it. Wouldn't have the nerve to do it myself, but I'm happy to gawk approvingly.

I've seen alot of guys from Polo doing this, it's not so awkward, just a bit contrived. It looks cool if you got a good watch. Mostly it's done on cotton suits like this one; never seen anyone do it on something businessey.

I am guilty of this too, with the Alan Flusser Custom corduroy and linen slack jackets I own. The two spaced apart functional sleeve buttonholes seem made for you to do this. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

But I thought unbuttoning working button holes was declasse and trashy?

Flusser intended for them to be worn this way. The pictures on the link below were from Flusser's website. Flusser slack jacket

I rather like that ensemble. Do you wear a hat?

I do not wear hats, although I know I should. I never thought I would wear bow ties and ascots, but I have become fond of both of those.

    Perhaps a hat is next?

That may be the preppiest ensemble I've ever seen outside an RL ad. Very nice.

Cuffthis's ensemble and photos are very nice.

Let's see how many more times respondents can quote the ENTIRE thing, though.

Don't get me wrong, I really like it. Outside of the business environment I don't see why people can't actually use their working buttonholes.
